Punk as we know it would be nowhere without Washington DC. Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Void, Fugazi, Government Issue, Dag Nasty, and more influenced legions of bands and pushed the genre into new directions including hardcore, emo, and more. For a city of 500,000, that's no small feat.Salad Days analyzes the DC scene, going in deep with names like Ian MacKaye, Brian Baker, Dave Grohl and many more to discuss the music, people and records that changed the course of history. Scheduled for October 11 at 10:30PM, Noisey EIC Fred Pessaro will host a Q&A with Director/Writer Scott Crawford and producer/editor Jim Saah at Anthology Film Archives (32 2nd Ave, NYC). Tickets are on sale.The DC Premiere of the film will take place in late December, and feature a post premiere party at the Black Cat on Dec 20 featuring Soulside (first time together in 25 years), Moss Icon, and others!
