Streaming service Tidal has been trying to lure new subscribers with its star power and their exclusive releases, but, as with Jay Z's recent B-Sides show, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé's "Feeling Myself" video, and Nicki Minaj's "The Night Is Still Young" video, it usually isn't long before all of us paupers can enjoy the cool shit that's getting released.
The latest exclusive is a brand new track by Lil Wayne called "Glory." It's a five-minute killer of a track produced by Avenue Beatz, Infamous, and Onhel, supposedly off of his upcoming album Free Weezy. Then again, who knows: The artwork for this single has the Young Money logo placed nicely right on the cover, which will inevitably add to the speculation about how Wayne's uncertain situation with his label, Cash Money, will shake out. Can Tidal's exclusives be a big metaphor for Lil Wayne's current obligations to his label, where you see music locked up but it's obvious it'll drop sooner or later? Guess we'll have to see.
