SNL ditched their traditional cold open this week as cast member Cecily Strong delivered a short message of love and solidarity from New York to Paris in English and French: "Paris is the city of light, and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out." The show rolled on as usual afterward, with musical guests Disclosure providing a poignant reminder that their sophomore album Caracal has more heat on it than they're getting credit for. The Lawrence brothers brought special guests along for their two performances, tapping Lorde for "Magnets" and Sam Smith for "Omen."
