Premiere: Watch Big Deal's Video for "Dream Machines"

This is Big Deal's new video. It'll make you feel like jumping in a car, putting your foot to the floor, and watching everything recede to a blur in the rearview mirror.

London duo Big Deal are made up of Alice Costelloe and Kacey Underwood and they used to make music that was pared back, largely acoustic, and

so intimate and raw

that one listen would give you goose bumps. Even in 100 degree heat. But those days are over. Their new, second album,

June Gloom

, includes a real rhythm section—made up of former S.C.U.M. members Mel and Huw—which means big, boomy drums and scuzzed up guitars.

"Dream Machines" is one of the best songs on the album because it makes you feel like jumping in a car, putting your foot to the floor, and watching everything recede to a blur in the rearview mirror. In essence, kinda like "1979" by The Smashing Pumpkins. Kacey says: "It's either a sad song about dropping out in the ultimate sense, or it's a very optimistic song about forgetting the world and having a good time. Depends on what kind of day it is, I guess."

Sidenote: Alice and Kacey play basketball in this video. Although they don't look it, they're actually demons on the court.

June Gloom is out now on Mute.
