Here's Meanwhile's New Song "Lulevetta"

Last night Prince played in front of 1000 people at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London. That is INSANE. The last band we saw play there was Saves The Day. Anyway, chances are you weren't at that show either—boo—but if you violently love Prince as much as we do, console yourself with this dude: Meanwhile. Yes, his name is the thoroughly ingooglable Meanwhile, and he is a mysterious singer, producer, and film composer, and we're premiering his debut track, "Luvletta," below. True, the sonic scent of the Holy Purple One is fragrantly dabbed behind Meanwhile's ears, along with a spritz of Bowie, and even a pinch of Ariel Rechtshaid-ian-cum-Vampire Weekend circa "Diane Young" vocal trickery. But "Luvletta" is puffed full of colorful bombast and hip-snaking panache that's hard not to love as it races to an exultant climax that's equal parts racuous and ultimately rather intriguing. Just listen.
