PREMIERE: IYES Outfits Jack Garratt’s Summer Anthem “Worry” for the Cooler Months

Listen to the rework.

With a Sam Smith-level soulfulness and shadowy beats that sound like a cross between James Blake and D’Angelo (really), London singer Jack Garratt’s new single “Worry” has reached song of the summer status in the UK and all over the internet. But just in time for the temperatures to drop, the sexily hypnotic track gets a remix, courtesy of IYES. Josh Christopher of the Brighton duo has injected the slow-burning melody with psychedelic-sounding baselines, a clappy rhythm, and an upbeat vibe that makes it more appropriate for a sweaty dance party than anything else. As Christopher puts it, "I have always loved Jack's work, and jumped at the chance to have a play with Worry. It all came together quite quickly, and sounded like an IYES production naturally. Definitely had some fun with the bass-line." Listen to the remix premiere below, and keep an eye out for Garratt’s debut LP, out later this year.
