The 50s and 60s were simple yet fascinating times that Montreal krautrock indie band Thin Blue Line can surely appreciate for their new video "Tungsten Fields." Marrying the band's cinematic sounds with the influence of yesteryear, the video places the band against images of World War II and students in vintage Studebaker Starline cars, all while the band's melodic interplay of guitars and simplistic drums drive home the feeling of nostalgia.

"'Tungsten Fields' is the product of lengthy sessions in our rehearsal space, fine-tuning the interweaving of the two guitars, the ever-evolving ebb and flow of the bass line, and motor-like propulsion of the drums," explains the band. "The melodies evoke 1990s guitar-based indie rock on a solid bed of krautrock drums and bass which break down for a moment to let the accumulated past of the notes resonate with the pent-up imagery of fading photographs of barely remembered relatives." Watch the video below.
