Back in the mid-90s the term Wall of Sound was increasingly associated with the then up and coming label of the same name, rather than Phil Spector's magic dust. Thanks to the indie label—founded by Mark Jones—we had early cuts by Röyksopp ( "Poor Leno"!), Propellerheads, Les Rythmes Digitales (producer Stuart Price's first musical incarnation), Felix Da Housecat, Mogwai, The Bees, and Basement Jaxx, not to mention releases by Grace Jones and The Human Leagure.
