7262 Eradicates Their Rep as the "We Still Coming" Guys with Their New Video for "Mutant"

We still coming... to tie you and your friends up in the middle of the woods.

You guys know the "we still coming" meme is fake, right? What happened is the Detroit band of rap brothers 7262 was filming their video for their track "Anthem" when a wild wedding party approached. Being the young, enterprising youths they are, the young rappers asked the merry wedding people to be in their video. Stills from the clip found their way onto the world wide internets, and before you know it somebody made that meme and inadvertently given 7262 a neat little uptick in notoriety in the process.

As with most things that are created by genuine humans, there is much, much more to 7262 than a meme they were accidentally involved in. Their music is egregiously great, drawing influences from vintage Bounce and raps plucked straight out of the belly of Satan. What's more, they know how to do a metric fuckton with a thimble's worth of resources when it comes to their videos. Take the above clip for "Mutant," which finds a band of homies kicking it in the woods who suddenly get kidnapped by an axe-wielding 7262 wearing hockey masks and also they're demons also somehow? Anyways, shout out to the v strong looks here. Jojinooo, the bigger guy, has the leather jacket-no-shirt down to a science, while Mojo, the other MC, is a forerunner for the nascent Tommy Bahama Revival™. If they continue to pump out videos as great as this one, they won't need to be known as the "we still coming" guys for much longer.

"Mutant" is off of 7262's upcoming Hunger Games LP, due out August 26th. Pre-order it on iTunes here.
