Western Mass has a new favorite son. Featuring members of Orchid, California X, Ampere, and Failures among others, three-piece band Longings funnel dark post-punk into short bursts of unrelenting hardcore. Heavy yet transcendent, the song "Vacancy," premiering exclusively below, strikes like unexpected sleep paralysis in the middle of a dream. Don't fight it—you've already lost. Their debut self-titled LP drops September 18 from Framework.
