Solange Is Coming To Australia For VIVID Live

She'll touch down in June for four VIVID-exclusive shows.

After seeing Solange at London’s Lovebox Festival last year, I decided that every festival that doesn’t book Solange is a failure. Here’s some good news, then: VIVID Live officially isn’t a failure this year! They’ve just announced on Facebook that Solange will be headlining this year’s festival as an Australian exclusive. (Does this mean that Sydney is officially better than Melbourne? Maybe. Probably!)

VIVID Sydney, now in its tenth year, will be taking place from 25 May to 16 June at various locations around town. The festival's music program VIVID Live takes place at the Opera House, and was headlined in 2017 by Fleet Foxes, Air and The Avalanches. The rest of the 2018 lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but if it’s even 25 percent as good as the first announcement it’ll still be roughly 95 percent better than most festivals.

Solange will be blessing the Sydney Opera House from June 1-4, and tickets will be allocated in a ballot system, which closes on March 4.
