Panamanian president Juan Carlos Varela has given the Panamanian Gold Cup team a bonus of $20,000 each, in addition to donating $1 million to soccer development in that country. The President's payout is in addition to the $140,000 bonus the players received for winning 3rd place. "Giving money is easy," Varela said. "Playing sports is the hard part."
