Trump Moves to Renegotiate NAFTA 
President Donald Trump has decided that the US will not withdraw from NAFTA, at least for now. Despite Trump's repeated description of the trade agreement as a "disaster," the White House said the president had "agreed not to terminate NAFTA at this time." The White House also said Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto had agreed to "enable the renegotiation" of the deal.—AP

GOP Introduces Bill to Avoid Government Shutdown
House Republicans have a bill to keep the government open another week and avoid a shutdown. Appropriations Committee Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen said he hopes the temporary stopgap could be voted on Friday before the midnight deadline to allow more time for discussion.—CBS News

Ann Coulter said she was forced to cancel a speech at the University of California, Berkeley, after conservative groups pulled support for the event. Israel Said to Strike Syrian Base Near Damascus Airport
Missile strikes reportedly carried out by Israel Thursday morning struck a Syrian military base near Damascus airport. Israel's intelligence minister, Israel Katz, told Israeli's Army Radio that he could "confirm that the incident in Syria corresponds completely with Israel's policy" of preventing Hezbollah from obtaining weapons. Rebel group sources claimed a weapons depot used by Hezbollah was hit.—BBC News

Venezuela to Withdraw from Organization of American States
The Venezuelan government announced plans to withdraw from the Organization of American States (OAS) over the next couple years. Foreign Minister Delcy Rodríguez said the group had been attempting to destabilize the Socialist government of President Nicolás Maduro. Five Dead in Attack on Army Base in Kashmir
Three Indian soldiers were killed by armed gunmen in an attack on an army base in the disputed Indian-controlled part of Kashmir. The two militants were fatally shot by soldiers returning fire. Nine Pro-Democracy Protesters Arrested in Hong Kong
