UK Producer Helm's New Album Is Inspired by the Turbulence of Brexit

It makes sense that an album called ‘World In Action’ includes free-jazz freak-outs.

Experimental UK producer Luke Younger, aka Helm, has announced the release of a new EP World In Action. A follow up to his 2015 album Olympic Mess andtheRawabeat tape he released earlier this year, the new four-track record will be released digitally through Helm's label Alter and on vinyl through the amazing Trilogy Tapes, who have released material from the likes of Dro Carey, Anthony Naples and Dean Blunt.

The album's press release explains that the album was recorded "at the height of the UK media's attempt at divining integrity from the orchestrated turbulence of Brexit, World In Action presents four pieces that juggle the documentation of this particular moment with the desire to discern motivation from despair."

'World In Action' is available digitally April 28 through Alter and on vinyl via The Trilogy Tapes.
