Alex G Is Now (Sandy) Alex G, Shares New Song "Proud"

The hardworking Alex G has an album called Rocket coming out this year, and he's letting us hear yet another song from it called "Proud." It's an affable acoustic stomper with some sarcastic lyrics ("I wanna be a fake like you") and one of the songwriter's typically warm, engaging melodies. The song comes alongside a formal name change to (Sandy) Alex G, which is his Twitter handle. Per an official statement:

"Going forward, Alex G will be known as (Sandy) Alex G. We are unable to provide further comment at this time, but would appreciate you using the new titling for all future mentions."
