Start Your Weekend the Groovy Way with a New Track from NYC Duo SIREN

"Paradise" is the new single from the duo which features Metro Area's Darshan Jesrani, and Dennis Kane from Disques Sinthomme.

Nu-disco producer Darshan Jesrani of Metro Area fame, whose self-titled 2002 album was named the second best album of the decade by Resident Advisor, as well as Disques Sinthomme's Dennis Kane, have teamed up to form a new duo called SIREN. The pair have been demure with releasing material thus far, with a scant few tracks appearing on the Soundcloud, but with their new groover, "Paradise," it seems they're ready to suit up and step out—and right in time for the weekend.

"Paradise" hits in all the right places, with a coaxed out beat, airy melody, and whispering vocal line that haunts the entire track by calling out the five boroughs of NYC. Fans of Metro Area will recognize the nu-disco instrumentation, but the flash has given way to something more seductive here, with Jesrani and Kane coating their percussion with layers of reverb and slight delay.

The release also comes with two remixes, a more pulsing techno version by Black Meteoric Star's Gavin Russom, and a self-remix by SIREN themselves that's available below for free download. Head to Bandcamp for a copy of the EP.

The duo will have a release party on Friday, April 1st at the Williamsburg, Brooklyn venue La Sala. Tickets will be available at the door.
