The CrossFit Games start next week. On Wednesday, CrossFit said it would offer the winners of each category a handgun as a prize, which strikes some as tone-deaf. I happen to be a member of a CrossFit Gym in Germany, where people are already uncomfortable with CrossFit's ties to the US Military. After the pistol announcement, some members are threatening to quit.

Some pretty big transfer news out of Europe. Mario Gotze reportedly agreed personal terms with Dortmund and will join the club pending an agreed transfer fee between Bayern and BVB.

Here's Euro 2016-winning Portugal striker Eder on his home life: "My dad is in prison. Since I was 12. My step-mum died and he was accused of killing her. He was sentenced to 16 years, I think."

Stage 13 of the Tour de France went ahead today, in the wake of a terrorist attack in Nice that killed more than 80 people. After a strange crash/mix up yesterday, Chris Froome is still wearing the yellow jersey.
