Serena Claims Her Second Title Today at Wimbledon, Alongside Venus in Doubles

After smoking Angelique Kerber in the Wimbledon singles finals today, Serena took a rest, had a few sips of water, and played on with Venus in doubles.

It's been a helluva day for Serena Williams, and now she can share that with her sister Venus. After smoking Angelique Kerber in the Wimbledon singles finals today, Serena took a rest, had a few sips of water, and played on with Venus in doubles, beating out the Hungarian Timea Babos and Russian Yaroslava Shvedova 6-3, 6-4.

Together, Serena and Venus have claimed 14 doubles titles at this point. Venus, who is 36, has been expected to retire for a while now, after her form has deteriorated over the years. But it'll be a sad day to miss out on the unspoken, fluid communication between the two sisters who started playing tennis together in Compton when Serena was three, and Venus was four. But what a way to show up.
