LeSean McCoy Involved in Altercation with Off-Duty Cops in Philly Over Bottle of Champagne

LeSean McCoy got into a dispute with off-duty cops in Philly over the weekend.

Former Eagles and current Bills running back LeSean McCoy was back in Philadelphia over the weekend, and according to a police report obtained by CSN Philly, he was involved in a fight with three off-duty cops. Former Chargers running back Curtis Brinkley was with McCoy and also involved in the fight.

More, from CSN Philly:

According to the police report, there was "a dispute over the purchase of champagne" between the men when "[Brinkley] grabbed the bottle." That touched off an altercation, according to the report. A law enforcement official told CSNPhilly.com that two of the officers suffered broken ribs.

This all went down at an Old City night club early Sunday morning, and there's no indication that there is anything significant to the backstory here other than the fact that one group was comprised of NFL players and the others were off duty cops. An ABC affiliate in Philly reports that neither McCoy nor Brinkley were arrested, but they are the subject of an investigation.

Update: Here are the details from Philadelphia police. Two other individuals were involved, in addition to McCoy and Brinkley. The fight sounds pretty violent as one of the off-duty cops suffered a broken nose and facial lacerations in addition to the previously reported broken ribs, and the other officer is being treated for a possible fractured skull.
