Embroidered Zoetrope by Elliot Schultz puts mealworms, neon cubes, and mandala-like designs onto a fabric record and lets them dance. “The animation is activated when a strobe light illuminates the discs in sync with the embroidered frames of animation,” Schultz writes on Vimeo. The hand-sewn designs circulate and gesticulate on top of a record player as though the turntable is inspiring motion.
