Meet the Young Woman Who Uses Skateboarding to Spread Positivity

In this episode of Boardly, we hang out with Christiana Smith at Modern Skate Park in her hometown of Royal Oak, Michigan.

When Christiana Smith was 17, she filmed a short documentary about her experience and perspective as a black female skater called Skate in a Dress. The video gained traction and opened her eyes to another purpose: A Positive Seed, which she founded in 2017. Through her organization, Smith uses the community of skateboarding to create more inclusive spaces for people to come together and make a difference.
