This No-Frills Negroni Is the Perfect Summer Drink

Equal parts Campari, gin, and vermouth, the Negroni proves more isn't always better

Aside from a water bottle filled with equal parts Capri Sun and Kirkland vodka, there are few cocktails in existence that rival the sheer simplicity of a properly made Negroni. Sure, the Negroni might not have the complexity of a drink like the Gin Fizz, but it more than makes up for that by creating the perfect balance of bitter, sweet, and herbaceousness.

RECIPE: Negroni

Lucky for you, Philadelphia bartender Vincent Stipo showed MUNCHIES the Negroni ropes and the result is something that Count Camillo Negroni, the purported creator of the Negroni, would be proud of. Don't forget to stir for about 30 seconds or so, Stipo says, and "The bigger the ice, the better."

Put down that godforsaken glass of rosé and imbibe something different this summer. You won't regret it.
