A young girl smokes by a window, a couple clutch each on the floor, a female form is sucked into a red and white vortex, and dapper men look slyly across the room in Jeb Hardwick’s new Roy Lichtenstein-style video for Wild Palms' new single, "Ennio," which debuts December 11 via One Little Indian Records. Simply put, live Pop art projections turn actors into moving paintings. The 50s-style patterning mixed with a creative lighting design and accompanying soundtrack give the retro style a modern flair, a resounding success for what Hardwick calls "the most intense shoot I've ever done." Further, neither the projections nor the actors are completely static, giving the video an uncanny touch; the characters are neiter simply cutouts or archetypes, but human beings experiencing flattening moments.Watch Wild Palms' "Ennio" by Jeb Hardwick below:Wild Palms - Ennio from Jeb Hardwick on Vimeo.Click here to pre-order the "Ennio" 7", and here to see more from Jeb Hardwick.Related:Watch A Model's Face Transform With Projection Mapped MakeupThe Secret Life of Pop Art | Monday Insta IllustratorModern Meditation Meets Pop Art in Paintings
