Lana Del Rey's New Video for "Love" Is the Apocalyptically Romantic Clip the Song Deserves

It's directed by Rich Lee and it makes you want to fall in love, and then maybe drive into the sun.

Lana Del Rey returned with a new song Saturday. "Love" contains everything that's made the New Yorker a captivating presence over the past half-decade. It's sultry and sweet and so shamelessly, apocalyptically romantic that its chorus is laced with gunshots.

The Rich Lee-directed video for "Love," released this morning, is all of those things but dipped in sepia, and stuffed into the front seat of a busted Oldsmobile. An old car floats around space; Del Rey winks at the camera; everything is in slo-mo, even when it isn't.
