A lot has been said of the year Kid Cudi has had, so it's great to see him ending it with a healthy dose of thrive. After a live return, and an extremely sweet note of gratitude to all who have stood by him throughout his treatment for mental illnesses, Cudi has capped off 2016 with a new album, Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin'. If you were in any doubt, please rest assured that it is what is known in modern parlance, as "fire."

With guest spots from André 3000 (credited as André Benjamin), Pharrell, and Travis Scott, as well as the legit future of music Willow Smith, the record is perfectly timed both for Cudi and the rest of us—kind of like an early Christmas present, but way better than socks or aftershave.
