Less than eight minutes into a Europa League match between Besiktas and Tottenham the lights went out, momentarily plunging Ataturk Olympic Stadium into darkness. The match was suspended while they sorted things out; it wasn't a total electrical failure as you can see the advertisements still work but the main flood lights went out, making it nearly impossible to see anything on the pitch.
Fans quickly turned on their phones and other light sources, though, and it created some pretty cool images.
After a brief delay, they got the lights up and running and the match has since resumed.[FS1]
