Gorgon City Tap Tish Hyman on Soulful Track “6AM”

Another smash on the rock of sirens… the duo recalls classic house motifs on this after dark jam.

If Gorgon City were worried about showing the breadth of their taste in vocalists, they need not be. "Go All Night" may bring the star power in the form of Jennifer Hudson but "6AM" brings the power of the underground, thanks in part to the voice of New York singer and rapper Tish Hyman.

"6AM" is classic vocal house, replete with a bossy bassline and sultry vocal, complemented by synth fills and treble percussion. All of this builds to a rap/sung verse by Hyman that on its own is ready for an afterhours dancefloor moment, as it evokes the ambiguity of longing and lush late night sexiness.

Hailing from the Bronx, Hyman caught some attention last year for her "Killing Me Softly" cover and plans to release her debut album next year through Universal. She co-wrote "6AM" with Gorgon's Kye Gibbon and Matthew Robson-Scott.

Gorgon's debut album, Sirens is available October 6.
