DGTL's Getting Ready to Open the Dutch Festival Season in Style

DGTL is even more exciting than the sex museum.

As the sun starts to think about poking it's head out for a bit, promoters across Europe are starting to send themselves into apoplexies of hype ahead of 2015's festival season. One of the earliest of these, Amsterdam's DGTL, kicks off in less than a month.

The two day mammoth bash has the honor once again of opening the Dutch festival season with an impressive - not to mention long - list of names in the offing. Taking place on Easter Weekend, April 4 and 5 of 2015, the event features more than 80 DJs, producers and live acts of serious note, with some of the planet's foremost purveyors of electronic sounds involved.

The 12 stages are being hosted by the likes of Ellum, Innervisions and Phono. As such expect sets from Dixon, Ame, Maceo Plex, Jamie Jones, Mano le Tough, Ten Walls, Kolsch, Boddika, David August (live), Steve Rachmad, Dusky, George Fitzgerald, and DJ Koze, to name but a few. Meanwhile, a selection of particularly special-looking back-to-backs will also be on the cards, with Kompakt kingpin Michael Mayer going at it with fellow Germanic mainstay Roman Flugel, John Talabot sharing honours alongside Job Jobse, and Breach joining Cinnaman in the booth.

Music aside, DGTL also has a solid rep for spectacular production, and this year the weekend's beats will be supplemented by a multitude of a what-the-fuck visual effects and stage designs, including a Kinetic installation comprising work from established and rising artists, selected by the event's own jury. It's set to be one seriously good time, so why not check out the after-movie video from last year's bash to get yourself ready.
