Zurich-based producer Lee Bannon, aka Dedekindcut, shared a new mix on NON Records today—a collective of artists from Africa and the diaspora that founding member Chino Amobi described in his THUMP interview as, "very critical of things as they are." Amboi said: "The way everything is run, from the music industry down through everyday interactions, [NON seeks] to challenge that."

The mix, titled "BHM/N3D," or "BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN 3D," features sounds ranging from menacing hardstyle and elliptical techno to an edit of System of A Down and Kate Boy songs. One section of the mix evokes the theme of resistance by the black community to police terrorization through sampled dialogue, vocals, and harrowing synths.

Artist, poet, and DJ Juliana Huxtable provided the album art for the mix, pictured above, and it was also posted on SoundCloud with a note from Dedekindcut: "this is us then and now and after." The track follows his recent collaboration with Houston producer, Rabit, who has previously worked with NON members such as Richmond, Virginia's Chino Amobi, Cape Town's ANGEL-HO, and Philadelphia's MHYSA.

Dedekindcut also announced today on Twitter, in a note posted via beatmaking veteran DJ Shadow's account, that he has a limited edition EP forthcoming next month on Vatican Shadow aka Dominick Fernow's Hospital Productions label titled American Zen, and that his debut LP Successor will arrive this fall.
