Update [September 26, 10:40 AM]: The album is now available for streaming on the artist's online radio network, www.other.people.network, via channel 333. He launched the platform via his Other People label on August 30 of this year, adding that his imprint had stopped its subscription service and "will now concentrate on a much smaller batch of yearly releases starting in 2017."

Last month, New York musician Nicolas Jaar posted a cryptic photo indicating that new music was on the way. Today, he confirmed via Facebook that the record, titled Sirens, will be his forthcoming album.

Sirens is due to arrive digitally on September 30 via Jaar's Other People imprint, and it will run 42 minutes across six tracks. It will be his second studio album following 2011's Space is Only Noise.

That's not to say he hasn't been busy these last five years; in 2013 he released an album, Psychic, from his (currently defunct) Darkside project with Dave Harrington. Last year, he released an LP version of his alternative film score to 1969's The Color of Pomegranates called Pomegranates, in addition to his Nymphs series and a single for R&S.

Though the album's not out for another week, New Yorkers will be able to hear it as soon as tonight, as Jaar is hosting a listening party. (Head here for details.) Following Sirens' release, he's heading out to tour North America and Europe from mid-October to December. View the full list of dates here.
