New Orleans producer, Mistress, has shared a new mix on Houston composer Rabit's label Halcyon Veil, entitled "DREADFILE." Alongside a number of unreleased tracks by himself, it also features original edits of A$AP Ferg and Migos, seeing the artist explore an array of menacingly oneiric melodies and tense, steamy atmospheres. Via its title, the mix seems to run on a propulsive yet tactile and thick kind of dread, working in songs from Fade to Mind affiliate NA, Rvidxr Klvn leader SpaceGhostPurrp, and man of the moment Young Thug.

While Mistress has yet to put out any official releases, if you've been paying close attention to the general Halcyon Veil zone, it's possible you have come across his work in one way or another before. A couple months ago, label affiliate Why Be put out an edit of one of his tracks (the original of which appears on this mix), while Mistress and Rabit released a mix last year called "Pandemic Transmission 4: Black Water."

The label has also announced Mistress' debut record via the text body of the SoundCloud upload for "DREADFILE." It will be called Hollygrove, and is is set to arrive on 12" and digital formats in the later in the year.
