The 22-year-old French producer Théo Le Vigoureux (aka Fakear) has been gaining momentum since first coming onto the dance music scene in 2013. Now, after a slew of singles, Le Vigoureux announced his debut today.

Animal, which will be released by the increasingly visible Counter Records (Tiga, ODESZA, Maribou State) is slated for a June release. Le Vigoreoux has already had a busy year performing at both SXSW and Ultra Music Festival and will premiere a live set with a full band at the London club XOYO on April 15.

In anticipation of Animal, the producer's label has released the single "Sheer-Khan," a variation on the spelling of the tiger's name in The Jungle Book, and an elegant yet beastly dance floor track that pairs Bollywood melodies and tabla taps to a Western house beat. The result is something exotic and funky enough to make the bones of Rudyard Kipling dance. Listen to it below.
