As we reported early last month, Philadelphia-based producer RJD2's new album, Dame Fortune, is forthcoming on his own RJ's Electrical Connections imprint. RJD2, aka Ramble Jon Krohn, previously shared the lead single, "Peace of What," and now he's turning heads again with the second single, "The Sheboygan Left."

Influenced by the soul music of Philadelphia where he's lived for the past year, "The Sheboygan Left" sounds like a funky and bombastic ode to The Delfonics and Spinners. The producer builds from a funky walking bass line, accompanied by a high-hat shuffle, marimba, and Rhodes piano to a grand choral burst. Through RJD2's slight-of-hand wizardry on the turntable it sounds like he's hired a 10-piece band, and not dug through a crate of records, to compose "The Sheboygan Left."

To support Dame Fortune, which comes out on March 25, RJD2 will embark on a short US tour. Check out the dates, and stream "The Sheyboygan Left" below.
