As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

This week was a real doozie, folks. A real doozie. Just kidding, it was another boring-ass week with hundreds of pin releases. As with anything that comes in bunches, most are forgettable. These ones are pretty cool, though. Check them out and read til the very end of the post (I know, a true challenge for your education-annihilated brain) to get 20% off at my store, Strike Gently Co.

The Big Lebowski is still one of my favorite movies, even as time goes by. I first saw it in middle school. That's probably why.

I’ve seen a lot of 90s pins but none with Weird Al (until now). Since this column involves unintentionally divulging my shallow 90s pop acculturation a bit more with every passing week, I find it appropriate to include this one. If you don’t know Weird Al because you were born after the fall of Kazaa / after he became irrelevant, check out "Fat," “Amish Paradise,” and/or “Smells Like Nirvana.”

$9.00 here.

I usually really hate graphics like this because I think that actually being good at drawing is passé, but this guy is actually really great at drawing. The boombox really catches my eye—the colors are fantastic and it looks different from most pins without looking like one of those terrible psychedelic ‘dabs pins’ you would buy at a Grateful Dead concert before the GHB really kicks in.

This one, on the other hand, is a little crudely drawn but still cool. Get this if you’re grown enough to appreciate Frida Kahlo as one of the only good modern artists (because she actually depicted her subjects instead of theoretical navalgazing, *cough cough*) or if you need a cute gift for your Art School Significant Other. We all get one eventually.

$5.00 here.

Coldtoes

Coldtoes is just the best, so here’s another one of his pins. It was designed by Josh Freydkis, who has an incredible portfolio and has worked with some other high profile companies. Coldtoes, along with Inner Decay and Suspect LTD, is one of the only pin companies that I really really like. Go buy everything he has in store.

$7.00 here.

Ok, that’s it people. Get 20% off this week with code AYY at Strike Gently Co.
