The Creators Project once wrote that the "central concept behind all of Beeple's animations is that all sound should correspond to all the videos." The director and animator, know for his work with musicians like Flying Lotus and Daedelus released a short with Brainfeeder yesterday titled We Are The Transparent Machines™ and this central concept reigns true with this terrifying and on-point work.

The piece includes aggravated mechanical noises (constructed by Standingwave with music done by Hecq) and 3D animation of fast-growing machines, overlain with images of Edward Snowden, social media logos, and dollar bills to raise awareness towards the NSA's increasing breaches of privacy.

"We are 'outraged' by the actions of the NSA," writes Beeple. "Yet we continue to willfully upload more and more of our personal information to Facebook and Google."

This short explores the contradictory nature of our relationship with privacy and transparency and is a must watch. Just be careful which platform you share it on...
