Kendrick Lamar Just Scored His First Number One Solo Hit with "HUMBLE."

Proof that you don't need Taylor Swift to top the charts.

Look, DAMN. is pretty much a slam dunk at this point. Not only did it get the fastest and largest sales week of any album this year, it's also another step in Kendrick Lamar's personal and artistic evolution. The rechristened Kung Fu Kenny can now add another notch to that belt as the album's lead single "HUMBLE." has become the rapper's first ever solo #1 on this week's Billboard Hot 100.

What's more is that "HUMBLE." is joined by its fellow album track and monster banger "DNA.," which enters the charts at #4. Kendrick's only other #1 was through guesting on Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood," while his previous solo chart peak was at #17 with "Swimming Pools (Drank)" all the way back in 2012. To be frank, everyone who isn't Kendrick or Mike Will Made-It is kinda losing right now. Life's just one funny motherfucker.

Phil has grabbed too many screencaps from the "HUMBLE." video today. He's on Twitter.
