The Vampire Scene Hasn't Lost Its Bite

And more film stuff from the Grolsch Film Works blog.

Our friends at Grolsch Film Works have a website where you can find out what they’ve been up to and read/watch interesting stuff about films. Every week we'll be plucking the highlights. This is that.

Titled Life, the film, according to The Playlist, "will chronicle the relationship between movie star James Dean and photographer Dennis Stock. The latter first discovered Dean just before he came a massive star thanks to East Of Eden, and travelled the country with him taking pictures for Life magazine that would come to define the icon."

TWENTY GREAT COMING OF AGE FILMS

With the wannabe Stand By Me-esque The Kings of Summer out in Canada this week, we thought it was probably a good time to carry out the torturous task of coming up with our top 20 coming-of-age films. But don’t berate us for omitting the aforementioned Stand By Me, or its female equivalent Now and Then – we know these are the classics. Instead, we thought we’d try and bring a few new flavours to the table. So unless you’re allergic to any films that remind you of those mostly awkward years (in which case, this list would probably be more apt) sink your teeth into this tasty bunch.
