Welcome to Techno City.

On Monday, April 3, French heavyweight DJ W!LD is releasing his latest album, Techno City, on his own W imprint. The LP sees the producer enter territory darker and more tech-oriented than that of its predecessor, 2014's When You See Me. He maintains a deft machine funk groove that's ideal for getting sleazy on dark dancefloors.

At the core of Techno City is its titular track, which takes listeners on a bumping night-ride paved with elastic percussion, disco-tinged loops, and quirky, futuristic accents that keep the hard-hitting rhythm from feeling too intense. Listen to it below.

Speaking to THUMP over email, W!LD tells us the titular track is an ode to the kind of techno he enjoys most: "The techno in my city has to be groovy, powerful, rough and not over-pitched," he says. "I've tested this track many times and in many places and the result has always been amazing. It's the perfect track for me to energize the dance floor, but it's also a storyteller."

You are now entering "Techno City." We hope you enjoy your stay.

DJ W!LD's Techno City is out April 3 via W.
