For Farley, Knuckles' influence and importance cannot be overstated. "Twenty-five years ago, Frankie championed the early music Pete Heller and I made and many of the first releases on Junior Boys Own. He helped turn a group of suburban London music fans into DJs and producers who could travel the world, simply by his patronage."

It wasn't just Farley and his label mates who benefitted: Frankie Knuckles' legacy will live on in anyone with any semblance of interest in dance music in any form. Rejoice in the life and work of a true master. We miss you Frankie.
