In 2014, less than six months after losing to Georges St-Pierre by unanimous decision at UFC 158, Nick Diaz was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was pulled over after committing a simple traffic violation at 2:30AM in Lodi, California, and taken into custody after agreeing to a breathalyzer test. True to form, he didn't give up that easy and besides driving with a suspended license he was booked for obstructing a police officer and destroying evidence after forcing himself to throw up in the jail toilet in hopes of getting alchohol out of his system.

Since then, he fought Anderson Silva in a "superfight"—and was subsequently popped for Marijuana on his pre-fight drug test. The next time the Stockton Slapper (his brother Nate, and his new brother Kron Gracie) made headlines was for brawling with Khabib Nurmagomedov at the last World Series of Fighting event. Today he's back in the news, but for more positive reasons.

Nick clearly hasn't reformed his wild-man attitude since being arrested, but he's finally dealing with the DUI case. According to TMZ, he plead guilty to the DUI in exchange for the dismissal of the other three charges. Part of the sentence included two days in jail, but he received a one-day credit.

Early this morning the 32-year-old mixed martial artist checked himself into custody at the San Joaquin County Jail located near his hometown of Stockton, California. According to MMAWeekly, he was out by noon.
