Roll Your Blunts and Watch This Magnified Ferrofluid

Proceed with caution.

Watching magnified ferrofluids set to aggressive techno will make you feel things if you watch for too long. Be careful, okay?

Artist and biochemist Linden Gledhill recorded this video using a high-speed camera, according to Concept Zero. Typically, ferrofluid is made up of five percent magnetic particles, 10 percent surfactant and 85 percent carrier fluid. The particles are magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field, and the whole substance tends to take on a spiky shape as it tries to stabilize itself. They're considered "colloidal suspensions," materials with properties of more than one state of matter. Dude.

Ponder that while you view this video of pulsating, shifting colors, and again, please don't stare at it too long.
