As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

We’re back, folks. Last week was a doozie—I hosted the Pin & Patch Show with a bunch of my favorite NYC pin and patch-makers. The turnout really blew us away. Thanks to everyone reading this who stopped by! Even the boys-in-blue were intrigued, and I’m not talking about the droves of denim-clad hipsters. *Laugh track.* Ok here’s this week’s roundup. It wasn’t hard, since I have two weeks of killer releases to sort through. Per usual, you’ll find a special somewhat secret discount code for my shop at the end.

Look at these two cool dogs. They’re cool, yeah? They look like they might even be down to chill. This is a collab from Pinlord and illustrator Gory Bastard. Pinlord is basically the Moses of the pin world, leading us all through a dark abyss of Instagram algorithms and bad fashion press, towards the light of sales and exposure. Bless him. He’s also pretty handsome. I met him at the show last week. Keep up the good work, brother.

While we’re on the topic of late-90’s nostalgia, let’s take a second to soak in this Dunkaroos pin. Pin companies are unique since most of them are owned by people the same age as their audience. Zara allegedly keeps stealing everyone’s ideas but they can’t steal something that’s already been stolen. They certainly can’t violate the copyright of another major corporation! Leave it to the little man to make pins of things like Dunkaroos, and invert bad business practices in the process. Thank you, Millypins!

This is mostly just turning into a post about bootleg pins, but how can you call something a bootleg when it’s done so tastefully? Are the thousands of beautifully-drawn secondhand Grateful Dead tour shirts really ‘bootlegs?' Or are they the very fabric by which the best images and ideas are spread through our otherwise-bankrupt consumer culture? I don't know, man. These pins are the ultimate fuccboi accessories, and by that I just mean that they contain both a reference to 90s TV and 90s athletics. Don't think too hard about it.

Pada Juan currently has two of my favorite pins, and I wasn’t sure which one to include. One is an ouroboros cat yin-yang. The other is this one. It just leaves you asking so many questions—is it a Cookie Monster reference? What are they looking at? Are they looking at me? Wear this one on your lapel and strangers will feel your gaze even if you aren’t looking at anyone. Cookie-cookie.

Ahol Sniffs Glue

With the exception of Tauba Auerbach and a few others, I haven’t seen many pin releases from capital-a Artists. But since this is a website about art, it only makes sense that I include some limited-edition, expensive, and generally pretty cool work every now and again. These crazy-ass 2" pins by Miami street art king Ahol Sniffs Glue, created by the folks at PINSBRO, are based on characters from his Biscayne World short film and accompanying music video, "Biscayne Block Boyz." They carry some serious Miami vibes, so you must at least be able to crush a bag of pork rinds to rock 'em with respect.
