A narrow majority of Americans—51 percent—disapprove of President Trump's executive order banning people from seven Muslim-majority countries, according to a new CBS News poll. The country is strongly divided along party lines on the issue, however, with 85 percent of Democrats disapproving and 85 percent of Republicans approving.—CBS News

White House Seeks Review of Travel Ban Suspension
The Trump administration and two states challenging its controversial travel ban—Washington and Minnesota—were expected to present arguments to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals today for a review of US District judge James Robart's Friday decision to halt it. Trump to Meet NATO Leaders in Europe

A probe into sexual abuse in Australia's Catholic Church has heard evidence that 7 percent of all the country's priests had been accused of abusing children between 1950 and 2010. Avalanches Kill More Than 100 in Afghanistan
A cascade of avalanches in Afghanistan have left at least 100 people dead, with some 50 killed in one village alone in the province of Nuristan.
