Kenya Barris Tells Desus and Mero About His 'America's Next Top Model' Days

The 'Black-ish' creator and 'Girls Trip' writer stopped by the season two premiere of the VICELAND show to talk about 'ANTM,' 'The Cosby Show,' and arguing with Donald Trump.

You may have heard of Kenya Barris from a little movie he wrote called Girls Trip, or for creating the outstanding comedy Black-ish, but when he was younger, he made arguably one of the most important shows in reality TV history: America's Next Top Model.

On the season two premiere of Desus & Mero, Barris told the hosts about his friendship with Tyra Banks, and what it was like to run a show surrounded by models.

"I used to be like, 'What is happening right now? Be cool, be professional! Just be professional,'" Barris said.

The writer and father of six also talked with the hosts about Bill Cosby, how he keeps his kids from getting spoiled, and the time he argued with Donald Trump about Black-ish.

You can watch Monday night's Desus & Mero for free online now, and be sure to catch new episodes weeknights at 11 PM on VICELAND.
