Khalid has released the extended remix version of his American Teen standout "Young, Dumb, and Broke" featuring additional verses from Rae Sremmurd and Lil Yachty. The third remix from his debut album—"Location" featured Kehlani and Lil Wayne, "Let's Go" featured GoldLink—it favors youth and Auto-Tune over subtlety. Swae Lee's verse sticks to the track's spirit, but doesn't add much: "And we're living it up / Forget about sorrow / Party all night / Same time tomorrow." Slim Jxmmi's verse follows the same lines. It's Yachty's verse, constantly reinforcing that he's King of the Teens, that's the most interesting. Does he abdicate his position when he turns 20 in August? What would that power vacuum mean for America's youth?Listen to the track at the top of the page.
