Krept & Konan would like you to know that they never do things by halves: today they're releasing not one, but two mixtapes – 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS – and to mark the occasion, they've released a video for "Ask Flipz" from 7 DAYS. The track features Stormzy, who also appears in the dark and brooding video, which you can see above. It's a straightforward affair with an urgent beat, and Big Mike is utilised to his best, delivering the song's hook and a verse that reminds you why he's one of this year's most successful UK artists."Ask Flipz" exemplifies what you can expect from the 7 DAYS tape, which, as well as Stormzy, features guest spots from artists like J Hus, Stormzy and Abra Cadabra. 7 NIGHTS, on the other hand, is smoother and more R&B-influenced, featuring the likes of Jhené Aiko, Tory Lanez and Hudson East. Together, the tapes are a versatile body of work, and highlight Krept & Konan's place in the UK rap canon, because, put simply, they know how to make bangers of just about any style.
