March 2020

Mercury ends its retrograde and the sun enters Aries—are you ready?

Welcome to Pisces season, Taurus! The sun lights up the sector of your chart that rules your social life, inspiring you to spend time with friends. This is a lovely time to connect with communities you’re inspired by or even to join a cause: Pisces believes world peace is an achievable goal, making this season a fantastic opportunity to join forces with people who share your vision for the future.

Your ruling planet Venus clashes with taskmaster Saturn on March 3, pushing you into action in setting boundaries. Venus loves to say “yes,” but Saturn is the planet of “no.” It can be hard to say no to people or ideas you love, but sometimes it’s necessary, and now is one of those times. Communication planet Mercury re-enters Aquarius while on its retrograde journey and connects with Venus before the planet of love enters your sign on March 4. Mercury retrograde is famous for miscommunications and delays, and as it enters Aquarius, you notice things in your career get a little more complicated. Now isn’t the time to start new projects or make public announcements. Mercury’s connection with Venus is a social one, but with Mercury retrograde, you’re more likely to connect with people from your past than mingle with new ones! Venus is all about values and valuables—expect to do a lot of talking about what’s important to you at this time. And with the boost in confidence and charisma that Venus in your sign brings, people are especially attracted to you. This is a fun time for a makeover and to go shopping!

March 8 is an especially exciting day as the sun meets Neptune, finding you beginning a new spiritual journey and perhaps joining a new group or community. That same day, Venus meets electric Uranus, leading you to make an unexpected change. Sometimes what makes us feel beautiful is something that’s unexpected or underappreciated by others; during this time, you’re brushing aside society’s expectations and doing your own thing! You may also find yourself seeking more independence in your relationships. This doesn’t mean a breakup will happen, but it might if you’re feeling suffocated. You’re seeking partners who support your desire to take risks—not those who attempt to smother you.

March 9 brings the full moon in Virgo, leading to a critical climax in a situation that’s been brewing in your love life and finding you releasing a creative project you’ve been working on. This is a big full moon for celebration, so attend or throw a party! Full moons are emotional periods and at this time, dancing, singing, and having a blast with your friends is exactly how you should be moving through the emotions that arise for you.

March 9 also brings the end of Mercury retrograde and conversations finally begin to move forward! Mercury retrograde is rough for travelers because of the delays and misunderstandings it can bring, but going abroad will be much easier once the retrograde is done, and a new opportunity to travel arrives on March 11 as the sun connects with Jupiter. This also bodes well for studying, communication, and even publishing.

Action planet Mars connects with dreamy Neptune while the sun connects with Pluto on March 14, making for a confident and creative atmosphere. Asking for help isn’t always easy, but during this time, amazing resources can be shared if you’re able to muster up the courage to ask for what you need. Your social connections could also pay off in a big way at this time, so it’s a brilliant moment for networking and sharing ideas. And on March 16, communication in your social life gets a boost as Mercury enters Pisces. Friends you wanted to connect with during the retrograde but weren’t able to catch may finally be available now.

A supportive energy in your career flows as the sun connects with Saturn on March 19, which also happens to be the first day of Aries season. While much of March finds you paying attention to your career, Aries season encourages you to catch up on rest and find ways to recharge outside of the public eye. Treat yourself to a getaway somewhere hidden where you can unplug from the outside world!

Mars meets Jupiter on March 20, energizing you during your travels and marking the beginning of a new interest you’re passionate about. Jupiter is all about expansion of the mind and exploring the world, and confident Mars is fearless about exploring new realms. If you’ve been hesitant about learning or studying something you’re interested in—like pilot lessons, or maybe a class on kink—you’re feeling empowered to do so now.

One of the biggest days of the month is March 21, when Saturn enters Aquarius and finds you stepping into a position of power and authority. You’ve been mastering a skill over the last two and a half years, and now you’re ready to call yourself a professional or a leader in whatever you’ve been studying. The next few years find you establishing yourself in the public eye and proving your leadership skills, as well as receiving rewards and recognition for a job well done. This astrological transit is all about hard work, so it will be a difficult period for slackers!

Unexpected news arrives as chatty Mercury connects with wildcard Uranus on March 22, while a romantic atmosphere blossoms as Venus connects with Neptune. On March 23, when Mars meets Pluto, you’re cutting ties with people or organizations that don’t share your world views. Watch out for arguments, since people are feeling passionate and you’re especially fired up about your beliefs!

The new moon in Aries arrives on March 24, encouraging you to catch up on rest and time alone, as well as activating a very psychic sector of your chart. This is a wonderful time to engage with your intuition and your inner voice, and journal about your dreams and emotions. March 28 is a lucky day as Venus connects with Jupiter—a flirtatious atmosphere flows and there’s a celebratory mood in the air. This is an especially lovely time to travel, and to find love abroad or enjoy a trip with a partner. Venus also connects with Pluto on this day, making this a powerful moment to connect with people on a deep level; expect profound philosophical conversations to take place! Jupiter is all about growth and Pluto is about depth: As they mingle with sexy Venus, things get more intense and passionate!

Mars enters Aquarius on March 30, revving up the sector of your chart that rules your career and reputation. The next day, Mars meets Saturn, which has also recently entered the air sign Aquarius, on March 31. Saturn and Mars in Aquarius favor a cool, detached approach to tackling issues: At this time, you’ll be setting new rules and boundaries around how you interact with the public, how you approach your career, and how you manage your relationships with your bosses. Good luck this month, Taurus, and see you in April!
