Reade has accused Biden of sexually assaulting her when she was an employee of his Senate office in 1993.
“If I thought that this man had done that, then I could not be in this space,” Abrams said.
Reade did an interview, got a lawyer, attributed a new quote to Biden, and picked up some corroborating evidence from a 1996 court filing.
“She has never explicitly said, ‘Don’t support Joe Biden,’” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said.
Biden categorically denied an allegation of sexual assault last week, and voters are evenly split over whether his denial is credible.
Reade says she filed a complaint about sexual harassment in Biden’s office in 1993 but “did not complain formally” about the alleged assault. Biden flatly denies wrongdoing.
But he has no plans to ask the University of Delaware to release his Senate papers, saying what’s in there could be “campaign fodder.”
Biden went on "Morning Joe" and denied the allegation "unequivocally."
Tara Reade has said that Biden assaulted her in the '90s when she was a Senate aide. Biden's campaign has denied the allegation.
Survivors feel that by making Joe Biden the nominee, the Democratic Party is leaving them with an impossible choice.
