1,000 túneles de luz, lanzallamas, un club nocturno en un avión, y elementales esculturas de madera: La edición número 30 de la ciudad del desierto de Burning Man, consiguió ser una utopía artística como ninguna otra. Solamente con un par de días de haber empezado el #burningman2016 ya lleva más de 20,000 posts, más de un cuarto de lo que #burningman2015 juntó en todo el año. Al menos 75,000 personas - incluyendo Cara Delevingne y Paris Hilton - son esperadas para llegar a la Playa, poniendo al 2016 como el Burning Man más Instagrameado de la historia.

Cada año Burning Man pelea con su status cada vez más popular, y podría argumentarse que los visitantes constantemente tomando fotografías violan el canon de una “Zona Autónoma Temporal” sobre el cual Black Rock City se construye. An excavated boeing 747 landed at #burningman yesterday to add to the theme of Da Vinci’s Workshop. The project was 7 years in the making and allows festival goers to step into the aircraft and relax, view art, live performances and virtual reality experiences.
