It's that time of the week where we all gather round to point at some fools who are afraid of the world!

Cry-Baby #1: Walmart

(via)

The incident: A couple took some photos of their children in the bath.

The appropriate response: Keeping them hidden away until the children are teenagers, then bringing them out at birthdays to embarrass them in front of their friends.

The actual response: The Walmart store where the couple got the photos developed called the police, causing the couple to temporarily lose custody of their children.

ΔΙΑΦΗΜΙΣΗ

Back in 2008, Lisa and Anthony Demaree took some photos of their daughters—then ages five, four, and one—in the bath while on a vacation in San Diego. Upon returning to their home in Arizona, they took the pictures to a local Walmart to be printed.

Instead of printing them like Anthony and Lisa had asked, the photo-center employee called the police, saying that she thought the images were pornographic.

The police then contacted Child Protective Services, who took Lisa and Anthony's children into custody, where they were kept for over a month until a judge was able to rule that the images were not pornographic and return their children to them.

Additionally, Lisa, the child's mother, is a teacher and was suspended from her job for an entire year while this issue was resolved.

Despite this happening back in 2008, Lisa and Anthony are currently in the process of suing Walmart for negligence, having unsuccessfully attempted to sue them before several years ago.

Cry-Baby #2: James Ruiz

(via reddit)

The incident: A drunk driver caused a car crash that killed two teenagers.

The appropriate response: Prison, a lifetime of remorse.

The actual response: The drunk driver sued a bunch of people, claiming that he totally wasn't responsible for the accident.

The accident happened back in 2010, when James drove his friend's truck into a car carrying Deshauna Peshlakai, 17, and Del Lynn Peshlakai, 19, killing both of them. At the time of the crash, James was nearly three times over the legal drinking limit. Which was made even more illegal by the fact that James was out on parole at the time, awaiting trial for his fourth DUI.

ΔΙΑΦΗΜΙΣΗ

James was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and sentenced to 40 years in prison. During the trial, he attempted to pass blame on the district attorney, saying that if they hadn't taken so long to imprison him for the other DUIs, he would not have been free to cause the accident.

He's currently serving his sentence at the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility. Which is where he filed his lawsuits from.

The first targets of his lawsuit spree are Applebee's and the Blue Corn Cafe, which are the two restaurants where he was drinking the night of the crash. He claims that the restaurants, by agreeing to serve him alcohol, generated "mental anguish," "emotional distress," and "loss of enjoyment of life."

Next up was his friend (well, probably ex-friend by now) Gilbert Mendoza, who James claims was negligent in allowing him to drive his truck while drunk (which he definitely was, though James doesn't deserve to get any money out of it).

And, finally, in another lawsuit, James is suing his attorney, because he thinks his sentence is too harsh, or something.

I get that prison is probably really, really boring, so you have a lot of time to pursue stuff like this. But come on, James. Chill.

Which of these fools is the bigger cry-baby? Let us know in this little thing right here:
